Thoughts on A Memorable Week In Wrestling

I'm back!

After a 2-month hiatus, I have returned to blog. And I picked an excellent time to do so, as this past week saw many memorable moments in the industry, particularly in the WWE.

Monday's RAW was the best episode since the October 8th edition, with plenty of talking points:
  • After a dismal 2012, John Cena won the first RAW match of 2013. To me, this signifies that Cena will once again be positioned as the face of the company this year, and he will win the WWE Title back sooner rather than later.
  • AJ Lee and Dolph Ziggler will be a major power couple this year. Personally, I would like to see AJ back as RAW GM. I know alot of people hated it the first time around, but as history has taught us, a heel GM will always work out better than a face one. Now that AJ is a heel, it would be a much better arangement. And as for Ziggler? He should cash-in his Money In The Bank Briefcase at Extreme Rules on May 19.... because I'll be at that show.
  • WWE Champion CM Punk returned to action and Ryback had his best TV match to date when the two battled in a TLC match for the WWE Championship. The ending was innovative; the match was amazing.
  • Punk also dropped another epic Pipe-Bomb before the Rock came out to start an epic War Of Words. Look for the Rock to win the title in 15 days at the Royal Rumble.
Thursday's Impact was honestly kind of boring. Genesis wasn't really built to that well, and now that TNA is only doing 4 major PPV's a year, that should not happen. But the ending of the show was great, setting up next weeks show:

And of course, there's Smackdown.

God God, this was the best episode of Smackdown in AGES. I mean, the main event was awesome, we saw a title change, and hell, even The Rock was there. Smackdown wins show of the week, hands down. Sorry Raw.
